Trumpchi Growth over 50% First Season, WU Song Explains Reason for Growth Contrarian

Sales of Trumpchi have increased over 50% at the first season of this year when the automobile industry goes down turn. WU Song, generalmanager of GAC passenger car takes interview today with reporter. He explains his Wu-strategy for growth contrarian: high-end brand build and local marketing. The strategy takes Trumpchi out of industry. It avoids “low brand, low quality and low premium”dilemma.

WU Song total involves into GAC passenger car product research, product, channel development and brand builds. He creates GAC passenger car style of “state owned platform, private company efficiency and joint venture procedure.”It integrates with advantages of state owned, private company and joint venture. GAC passenger car adopts joint development. It has the world class design, research and relative facilities. It uses two Japanese brands Toyota and Honda experience. Trumpchi insists high-end position since it launching market.

Under press of joint venture, China owned brands marker share are taken by joint venture step by step. China owned brands sales and market share reduce in the first season of year 2014. Sales have reduced 1.5% and market share has reduced more than 20%.

However, Trumpchi has realized 3 years growth. In the first season this year, Trumpchi remains its growth. It is sold 24 thousands, which has increased 50.6% over last year did. From the perspective of WU Song, boutique strategy builds Trumpchi growth in first season. Trumpchi locks its opponents with joint venture brands at the first beginning. It is against them with quality and brand value.

J.D.Power announces its new cars rank list of year 2013. Trumpchi is ranked 15th among all cars market launching in Chinese market last year, which is ranked top one among China owned brands. Trumpchi GS5 is ranked all SUV modes, which is the only one Chinese brand. At present, GAC Trumpchi introduction buy ratio is as high as 30% and still increasing. GAC builds its global supply chain. Its 40% parts come from European companies, and 40% of them come from best Chinese suppliers and the other 20% supplied by Korean and Japanese suppliers. The top 10 automobile parts suppliers cooperate with GAC Trumpchi.
