With increasingly improvement of palm mobile device's ability to calculate and memories and the information-based development of Chinese companies, prompt mail processing has become an important link to advance working efficiency of companies.

HandMail, as a new-type value-added application integrating mobile service and traditional Internet service, is expected to become the third major service business after voice communication and text message.

HandsetMail is to receive and send email through handset.

HandsetMail can be done mainly by two ways: Push Mail and Pull Mail

Before Push Mail is put on the market, users need dial-up to access the internet for receiving emails, which is called Pull technology. Such method is actually to access the network through your handset to browse email, namely, to transfer the email receiving terminal from PC to handset. And log-in is necessary for users to view email.

Push Mail is a brand new mobile email solution to push email to user's mobile terminal (handset and PDA, etc.) initiatively and safely by using Push technology.

PushMail products' main advantages:
1. Timeliness
The handset can duly receive emails at anytime and anywhere, as long as there is signal.
2. Convenience
The receiving process is quite convenient, email can be automatically sent without any operation
3. Safety
Email is only saved at the enterprise's sever terminal and the user's mobile terminal, any third party cannot access email.
4. Usability
To directly read attachments like PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT, PPS, ZIP, RAR, HTML, pictures, dynamic GIF, WAV and video information on mobile terminal, and users can select several attachment processing methods.
5. Flexibility
The user can set black & white list as a filtering strategy, such as sender address filtering, unwanted email rejection, etc.
6. Economy
To support existing Windows Mobile's main business mobile terminal, and system setup cost stays low.

To support several email systems like Lotus Notes and Exchange, etc.

PushMail can push emails waiting processing urgently to mobile terminal for operation like reading, replying and forwarding. Meanwhile, emails processed by staff from high-tech enterprises and core operators of traditional enterprises are usually related to business secrets, therefore, these customers require their emails encrypted. PushMail has revolutionized handset's usage, allowing users to enjoy mobile office, and has become an assistant to businessmen in their daily work and life.

Forecast of Chinese HandMail Users in 2006 to 2008

By the end of year 2006, Chinese HandsetMail users has totaled 205,000. It is predicted that such figure will reach 331,000 by the end of 2007 and market value will come to about 64.30 million yuan. The HandsetMail users will rocket to 457,000 by the end of 2008 and the market value will be about 96 million yuan.

ResearchInChina believed that China's Handsetmail service is still in the primary stage of business development with a quite limited number of users and market size. How to cultivate a market and the creation of a rational charging mode is the key issue regarding the healthy development of HandsetMail business in our country.
