Electric power's supply and demand are quite balanced in China; however, there are important regional disparities. And the imbalance of demand and supply is very serious in some developed areas like south China, east China and north China.
We present triple layers structure to analyze the electric price from high to low: The international comparison shows that the grid relative sales price (relative electricity price equals to absolute electricity price divided by unit’s GDP) is higher than elsewhere, so the price may be under pressure to decline ; however, due to the low absolute value, the pressure may be reduced by the continual high growth of national economy; meanwhile, the comparison between countrywide average electricity price and regional average electricity price shows that the prices of the grid power in southern, eastern and the independent power grids in Fujian and Shandong are on the high side.
The price adjustment due to the electricity price reform and to the trend of electric power industry is a long-term process. Meanwhile, due to the different costs of the power stations, and to the sales radius and to the cost of sales in different areas, the electricity prices will remain different in different areas, and it won’t be possible to unify the price nationwide. The information of this report all roots in trusty public data.
