The electricity consumption volume was 718.9 billion kwh in China in the 1st quarter of 2007, up 14.9% y-o-y. In addition, the electricity generation volume was 701.2 billion kwh, rising 15.5% y-o-y. Of which, the thermal electricity increased 17.1%, hydraulic electricity increased 6.3%, while the nuclear electricity dropped 7.1%. Seen from the regional network, Northeast, Central China and East China didn't change much, however, in the South, Northwest, North China, the increase pace of electricity network was outstanding.
