The statistical data on 561 manufacturers of boiler & auxiliary equipment in China shows more investment and more production in the boiler & auxiliary equipment industry in the first part of 2005. Assets newly added increased by 28.91% during the period from January to June. The total output value increased by 51.72% compared to the previous year. The boiler industry still maintains rapid development but the speed is obviously slower than that of the previous year, which is mainly due to the stronger state control on the construction of power supply projects in the latter part of 2004. With the progressing of national macro-policies, electric power equipment industry is developing steadily after the booming period. Meanwhile, the excessive power supply forecasted for the next few years also make enterprises cautious about their production and investment.
In the past decade, the distribution of boiler sales had the following structure---19% in textile industry, 10.2% in coal & electricity and oil, 7.3% in agriculture, forestry, fishing, animal husbandry and sidelines; 6.7% in construction & building materials, 6.5% in chemical industry; 6.2% in education, sanitation and scientific research; 5.4% in metallurgical industry; 4.7% in transportation & telecommunication, 0.5% in exportation and 18.3% in others. By regional distribution, Northeast, North China and East China account for 70% of the total sales altogether with each accounting for 20%~25% . The utilization of industrial boilers in ten provinces and regions including Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Hebei, Jilin, Shanxi, Beijing, Jiangsu, Henan and inner Mongolia accounts for about 63% of the national total. Seen from the overall structure of Chinese boiler-manufacturing enterprises, there are few big-and-medium-sized enterprises. Small ones occupy the majority, which results in a lack of concentration in a geographical sense. Seen from the development environment of China's boiler industry on the whole, there will be a sharp change in the industry in the next few years, which is mainly attributable to the far-reaching significance of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2010 Shanghai Exposition on the boiler industry. Currently, as all levels of governments attach great importance to improving the atmospheric environment and energy conservation, the technologies of emission reduction, flue gas desulfurization and coal gasification are widely applied. The declining of coal combustion boilers is the general trend. Various kinds of boilers such as gas boilers and galvanothermy boilers which draw the attention of state supervision and inspection sectors are becoming more and more popular in the market. Besides, under the guidelines of policies and the blooming real estate, dramatic progresses occurred in the market of heating and bathing boilers. Comprehensive utilization of wastes is becoming the focus of the society. Wastes-burning boilers will enjoy bright prospects in the next ten years.
The report is based on the data and materials from authoritative institutions such as China National Statistical Bureau, China Customers, China Machinery Industry Federation and others related. The report analyzes the development of China's boiler industry in recent years, particularly in 2005. From several perspectives it reveals the current situation, competition and investment environment of the boiler industry; What's more, the report gives an in-depth analysis of the factors that will influence the development of the boiler industry in the next few years and points out the opportunities, risks and threats in the boiler market. The report can be used as reference for boiler-manufacturing enterprises, to make reasonable strategies, institutions, with an inclination to the boiler industry, and individuals, that wish rapid acquaintance with the current trends of the boiler market.
