In 2006, the whole electronic information industry of China realized sales revenue RMB 4,750 billion, up 23.7%; realized value added RMB 1100 billion, up 22.1%; realized pre-tax profit RMB 240 billion, up 22%. Large-scaled manufacturing enterprises realized profit RMB 138.4 billon, up 28.2%. Mobile phone production maintained fast growth and the whole-year output was 480 million units, up 58.2%. The output of micro computer was 93.36 million units, of which 59.12 million units were laptops.
