China exported 4.21 million tonnes of steel in September and 37.15 million tonnes of steel for the first 9 months of 2011, which is up 9.5% on year, data from the National Bureau of Statistics of China show.

The country imported 1.33 million tonnes of steel in September and 11.96 million tonnes of steel for the 9 months, down 4.3% on year.
