Gasgoo.com (Shanghai October 19) - Chery's exports exceeded 14,590 units in September, Gasgoo.com (Chinese) reported today. The amount is 38.1 percent higher than the previous year and puts it above other Chinese manufacturers.
A total of 122,441 vehicles have been exported since the beginning of the year, with Chery already having met its annual export target in March. Chery is set to break its annual record for exports. The manufacturer is seeing its brand awareness overseas increase on a daily basis.
Chery's commitment to using advanced technology has helped it become a fixture in emerging markets, with the manufacturer's Tiggo compact SUV (pictured) now available in over 60 countries and with over 100,000 users worldwide. This year, the Tiggo was awarded the SUV Oscar from the Serbian Auto Forum and was the top-selling SUV in Egypt in 2010. The Tiggo has also managed to do very well in Brazil, where it has been increasingly becoming a challenge to Western and Japanese brands.
Chery's QQ, Cowin 2 and A3 have also aided in boosting the manufacturer's sales performance, with the QQ managing sales of over one million units worldwide. In 2010, the QQ won awards in Indonesia and led the Brazilian market
