In order to speed up the construction of the monitoring system of cosmetic adverse reactions, strengthen the monitoring and evaluation of cosmetic adverse reactions and safeguard the consumer’s health, the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) recently developed and issued the Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of the Monitoring System of Cosmetic Adverse Reactions in accordance with the Regulations Concerning the Hygiene Supervision Over Cosmetics and the rules for the implementation of the Regulations, and taking the responsibilities of food and drug regulatory departments into consideration. The Guiding Opinions defines the guidelines, objectives, monitoring scope, responsibilities, system construction, implementation stages and guarantee measures for the work.
