New Bid to Sell

   Date:2012-01-20

SWEDISH Automobile NV, the parent of Dutch luxury car maker Spyker and the now-bankrupt Saab Automobile, yesterday said it will try to sell new shares and Spyker in a bid for survival.

The firm, known as "Swan," has struck several deals to sell Spyker, but closed none. In September it said it would sell Spyker to US firm North Street Capital for 32 million euros (US$41 million), not enough to pay off Spyker's debts.

Saab went bankrupt in December.
