Samsung Electronics plans to expand the number of its product experience shops in the Taiwan market from 92 in 2011 to 225 in 2012 to promote sales of its complete lineup of products in the local market, according to Samsung Taiwan.
The company will also strengthen its cooperation with local software developers to develop more applications for its smart TVs, said the company, adding that the number of Samsung Apps now totals about 300-400.
Samsung also plans to introduce its large-size E8000-series smart TVs into the local market in March-April. The E8000 smart TVs will support Chinese voice recognition applications.
The local market for large-size TVs, including 46-inch sizes and over, will have strong potential in 2012, said the company, adding that it will also bring in new entry-level LED TV models.
