Riesling wine was originally produced in German. It's said that a great deal of Riesling were ever planted in Ningxia, but they had not good markets so that the rest of which were preserved by Guangxia Helan Mountain Winery Co., Ltd were tore up with root and all.

Guangxia Helan Mountain Winery Co., Ltd has the biggest grape base in Ningxia. In 2007, an American trade company sold Helan Mountain wine to America. It's the first time for Chinese wine to enter international market. Helan Winery's Riesling successfully entered American market.
