Electronic manufacturing service (EMS) providers Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) and Flextronics International are expected to start shipping Project Natal devices for Microsoft's' Xbox 360 gaming consoles in August, but mass shipments are estimated to start in 2011, according to industry watchers in Taiwan.
Foxconn declined to comment on its orders and clients.
With the Project Natal is expected to boost demand for the Xbox 360, the console's component suppliers including power supply unit maker Lite-On Technology and Chicony Electronics, optical drive maker Lite-On IT and cooling module makers Jentech Precision Industrial as well as lens supplier for Project Natal Newmax Technology will all benefit, the watchers noted.
