IC distributor WPG Holdings expects its consolidated revenues to grow 5.7-10.5% sequentially to NT$66-69 billion (US$2.06-2.17 billion) in the third quarter of 2010 after an 8.3% sequential revenue gain recorded in the second quarter.
Continued sales growth in the PC, consumer electronic products, set-top boxes (STBs) and LED lighting equipment will help sustain revenue growth at WPG, the company said.
WPG posted net profits of NT$1.485 billion on revenues of NT$62.42 billion in the second quarter. For the first half of 2010, net profits increased 105% on year to NT$2.743 billion, representing an EPS of NT$3.06.
Additionally, WPG said that the ratios of its return on working capital (ROWC) and return on equity (ROE) both hit an all-time high record in the second quarter, reaching 19.8% and 28.8%, respectively.
However, the company also predicts its gross margin to fall slightly to 5.6-5.8% in the third quarter, down from 5.98% in the second quarter.
