NINGBO is hosting China's largest food expo from today till next Monday.
Various food including meat, wine, beverage, seasoning and characteristic local food will be promoted in an area of 60,000 square meters in the port city of Zhejiang Province.
More than 2,000 domestic and overseas food providers and catering device makers will showcase to local residents and more than 3,000 professional buyers in the four days' exhibition.
Government officials and business representatives will also discuss food safety and the application of e-commerce during the period.
Contract and sales value is expected to exceed last year's 8.4 billion yuan (US$1.25 billion), organizers said.
Ningbo has been hosting the events for the past five years.
