FUJI Xerox expects to double its China revenue by 2013 as it expands its distribution channel and unveils new products that target small and medium enterprises (SME), the Japan-based office equipment vendor said yesterday.
The company also attributed the strong economic growth and surging demand for color machines in China as two major reasons for its confidence in boosting its revenue, said Masataka Jo, Fuji Xerox China's chief executive and president.
"China has become our most important rapidly-growing market," said Jo. "According to our research, a strong GDP growth often boosts office equipment demand."
Fuji Xerox, whose product line-up includes multi-function products (MFP) and color printers, forecast Chinese revenue to grow 42 percent annually in 2010 which is set to double in 2013 from this year, Jo said.
The company will also expand its distribution channels nationwide from 700 to 1,200 by 2012.
Fuji Xerox will also mainly focus on 38 "strategic cities," including Shanghai and Beijing, to meet its revenue target.
