China EnerSave to build new biomass power plant

China EnerSave is planning to build its third biomass power plant in China's Shandong province.

The plant is expected to cost $50 million and will bring its total investment in China's biomass power industry to $150 million.

Construction is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2007.

When completed, the plant will have a power generating capacity of 24 megawatts.

ChinaEnersave already has two biomass power plants in China, both in Sichuan province.

The company aims to own and operate around 20 power plants in China within the next four to five years.
