C3i, US based global leader in technology support and BPO services for the pharmaceutical industry and Oracle Gold Partner, has announced the opening of its new Global Operations Center in China. The operations center, located in the northern city of Dalian, will specialize in providing services in major Asian languages including Chinese, Korean and Japanese, to sponsors and clinical research organizations.

With dramatic growth projected in both clinical trials and pharmaceutical sales, Asia represents a strategic region for the pharmaceutical industry.  In response of this industry trend, the new facility in Dalian addresses the support needs of C3i and Oracle's joint customers doing business in the major Asian markets.

C3i partners with Oracle to provide training, multi-lingual support and business process outsourcing (BPO) services to life science and pharmaceutical organizations worldwide.  From its current operations in North America, Europe and India, C3i supports more than 5,000 clinical trials. Additionally, C3i supports global pharmaceutical sales forces using Oracle Siebel Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

"This operations center leverages the tremendous experience we have providing clinical support, training, and administrative services to more than 10 leading sponsors and CROs in Europe and the United States utilizing Oracle's clinical offerings, and allows us to meet the evolving needs of both existing and new customers as they expand into this exciting geographic market," said Joel Morse, CEO of C3i. "C3i is pleased to be expanding our geographic relationship with Oracle. As we open in Dalian, we are supporting four of our current joint Oracle customers and look forward to working with many more in the future."

"Oracle is very excited to have our partner C3i working with us in this important region. With so many joint customers in Asia, it is nice to have partners like C3i who understand our customers' needs as well as Oracle's significant technology offerings," said George Wong, group vice president, Alliances and Channels, Asia Pacific, Oracle.
