Owing to its superior geography environment and climate, Guangxi is a suitable place to grow tropical and subtropical fruit trees. According to the historical records, Guangxi is the original habit of litchi and longan. At present, litchi covers as many as 3.13 million hectares and longan 2.33million hectares. This year the total production of litchi is expected to be 0.52 ton which is 60 thousand tons more than that of last year.

In order to introduce and promote the features of Guangxi litchi and longan and take efforts to expand markets in North China, Guangxi business ministry and Guangxi agriculture ministry will collaborate to collect all kinds of resources and held production promotion through Internet or other ways. The production promotion will open up at the newly developed agricultural products wholesale market in Beijing on 5th July. During the promotion, it will introduce the growing conditions and related industry policies of Guangxi litchi and longan so that big purchasing agents can know Guangxi better and have more confidence in these productions.
