July 25 -- Jiangsu Xiuqiang Glasswork (300160) posted a 135.66-percent year-on-year increase in net profit to 50.88 million yuan in the first half of 2011, reports p5w.net, citing a company filing. Sales revenue climbed 41.59 percent year-on-year to 398 million yuan during that period, with earnings per share (EPS) of 0.54 yuan.

The Suqian-based company attributed the increase to higher production capacity of crystal glass as well as higher sales of solar cell encapsulated glass.
