DPRK establishes national online medical service system

PYONGYANG, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- A nationwide online system of medical service has been established in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the country's official news agency KCNA reported Wednesday.

According to the KCNA, scientists of the Academy of Koryo Medical Science and the Korean Computer Center established relevant database by analyzing and assorting a huge amount of information in an orderly way.

The scientists developed the program "Koryo Medicine" for diagnosis, prescription and consultation and opened up a homepage "Koryo Medicine," said the report.

The homepage has special medical service assistance system for displaying the diagnosis of hundreds of diseases, their treatment and prescription, service system for the promotion of health of people, system for access to Koryo medical vocabulary and medicines and online consultation system, said the report.

The server works 24 hours a day to ensure prompt and convenient provision of information to subscribers, it added.
