Honda to recall 310,773 Pilot vehicles in America

   Date:2011/09/14

CHICAGO, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda announced Monday that due to seat belt concern, it will recall 310,773 Pilot vehicles for the 2009-3011 model years in the United States.

Honda said in a statement that the stitching connecting the lap section of the front belt to the outboard anchor webbing may be incomplete or missing due to a manufacturing error, so the seat belts may become disconnected and increase the risk of injury.

However, no injuries or deaths have been reported related to this problem.

Honda encourages all owners of affected vehicles to take their vehicles to an authorized dealer for free inspection as soon as they receive notification of this recall. The company will issue the written notification to customers in early October.
