Gasgoo.com (Shanghai September 29) - Following years of multinational development, Volkswagen has promoted the status of its Chinese import company to cover sales in the country as well, the Beijing Times reported today. The decision will help unify VW's services in the country.

The sales company will not only cover VW itself, but also its subsidiary brands Bugatti, Bentley and Porsche. The company, which will be renamed VGIC, will cover all brands uniformly. It is reportedly still undergoing staff restructuring, with final staff yet to be decided.

VW supposedly made the decision to help increase the ease of sales to China. Bugatti and Bentley's Chinese companies will report directly to the VW headquarters.
