FRANKFURT, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- One day before the official opening of the Frankfurt Book Fair, some ninety international publishers gathered here Tuesday, gaining an insight into various sides of e-book worldwide - its latest developments as well as potential traps.

Attending Publishers Launch Conference, one professional forum of this year's Frankfurt Book fair, Michael Cader, founder of Publishers Marketplace and Publishers Lunch, started with the question whether the e-book structure developed in the U.S. would be exported to any other country.

The global situational review showed that there are many different aspects like language, growth of device penetration, and even VAT bringing a wide diversity into this field, he said.

As the e-book market has a share of less than 1 percent by now in Germany, Michael Justus, managing director and CFO of the German publishing house S. Fischer Verlag, admitted that the future of e-book development is "difficult to predict."

MatteoBerlucchi, CEO from Anobii, an online reading community, showed the integrated capabilities to discover and purchase books on a social retailing platform. For him, "conversation is the King! Content is just something to talk about."

A crowd source categorization system can help explore in any direction on your search for books, he said.

Octavio Kulesz of Argentina from Editorial Teseo explained his very interesting study on the potential for digital communication in the developing world, saying that these countries cannot wait for Amazon or any other big company to spread. In Latin America, for example, local aggregators adapt much better to the local needs.
