CHINA Vanke Co, the country's biggest developer by market value, yesterday said third-quarter profit rose 32 percent as it focused on sales to homeowners after the government deepened curbs at speculative buyers.

Net income rose to 606 million yuan (US$95.1 million), or 0.06 yuan a share, from 459.5 million yuan, or 0.04 yuan a share, a year earlier, Vanke said in a filing to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange yesterday.
