Asian Citrus Holdings Ltd said it has signed two supply contracts worth about 8.06 mln stg, or about 30 pct of its 2006 turnover, for supplying oranges to two supermarkets in China.

According to the deal, the company will supply the supermarkets, Guihai Highways Guangxi Xingtong Services Co and Guangxi Yonghao Supermarket Co Ltd, with a total of 23,000 tonnes of oranges for an initial period from Oct 26, 2006 to June 30, 2007.

The orange plantation owner and operator in China said the deal is in line with its expectation of increasing its sales to supermarket chains to around 20 pct of 2007 production.
