Financial institutions granted RMB 20.76 trillion in loans to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by the end of September, including discounted bills.

China's monetary policy report, released by the central bank, said officials have provided support to SMEs, villages, farmers and agriculture.

Among the RMB 20.76 trillion worth of loans, the balance of small business loans stood at RMB 10.13 trillion, a 24.3% increase.

Financial institutions have granted a total of RMB 13.96 trillion to agriculture-related industries, accounting for 24.8% of total loans by end-September.
