Honeybee production base settles down in Tibet

   Date:2006/12/31
A honeybee production base was set up in Tibet under the support of Apiculture Science Association of China, and now the first group of production from the roof of the world is enjoying a hot market.

2,000 boxes bees were introduced into Tibet entrusted by Apicultural Science Association of China this August to end the history of no beekeeping in Tibet.

Tibet has rich natural and non-polluting source of flowers, providing a good environment for beekeeping which is seen to bring considerable income for Tibetan beekeepers.

Besides that, it will also improve the plateau ecological environment through the dissemination of bee pollen.
