It's another big week ahead for the regional markets, with China set to release its November Consumer Price Index on Friday.
Many expect CPI growth year-on-year to further ease in November. Inflation is expected to drop below 5 percent to 4.4 percent, the lowest this year, thanks largely to weakening food prices. Food prices account for one-third of the calculation of CPI in China.
Various data already show prices of farm produce have continued to fall moderately since the beginning of last month. That’s in sharp contrast with previous months, when prices of eggs and meat in particular rose rapidly.
Experts say the government is fine-tuning macro-economic policies to ensure stable growth, as price pressures ease.
