Gasgoo.com (Shanghai December 12) - Not long after its display at this year's Auto Guangzhou motor show, the new Changan PSA joint venture announced that it will begin selling the Citroën DS3, DS4 and DS5 in China. The models will be brought to China in the first half of 2012, the Beijing News reported today.

According to JV President Eric Apode, Changan PSA is officially beginning to promote the DS brand in China. The JV will begin by importing the models to the country and then starting domestic production. Changan PSA will also be doing market, network, sales and advertising work for the DS series.

Changan PSA hopes for domestically made vehicles to make up at least 50 percent of all of its sales. According to officials from the JV, Changan PSA hopes to create a brand new, independent sales model for the DS series. Sales channels are already ready for Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and other first-tier cities. The DS series will primarily be targeted at large cities.
