METRO, which mainly focused on modern wholesale market, is set to start business in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province in late December. METRO said that the store in the west bank of the Pearl River Delta Region showed its determination to accelerate its expansion in the area.

 

Its first store in Zhongshan covers an area of nearly 10,000 square meters and offers over 15,000 kinds of food and non-food products in order to satisfy different needs of specialized customers, such as restaurants, hotels, canteen halls, small- and medium-sized retailers and various businesses, through its professional and all-round business solutions. The store will open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. for the convenience of its customers.

 

METRO Zhongshan Branch adopted the industry-leading traceability system, Star Farm, to ensure food safety and quality. It will record the whole process of foods moving from “farm to fork” in accordance with HACCP standards.
