The second edition of Intermat Middle East, the international exhibition for machinery, materials and equipment for construction and infrastructure, will be held at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi from 8 to 10 October, Clarion Events and Comexposium have announced.

The event will feature a new format, combining a high-level conference programme with international experts and a comprehensive exhibition, featuring the most representative companies in heavy machinery, equipment and solutions for construction and infrastructure.

Maryvonne Lanoё, Intermat exhibition manager, said: “The exhibition and conference will constitute a unique platform on technologies, equipment and solutions to urban planning, transport infrastructure and sustainable mobility, enabling participants from the GCC markets and neighboring countries to network and share innovations.”

The three-day event will focus on enhancing a productive atmosphere for business meetings to facilitate new business opportunities in the significantly large and dynamic Middle Eastern market.

Furthermore, a hosted buyers' programme dedicated to senior management and government members will provide intergovernmental and international contacts, enabling co-operation between global and local business leaders.

An estimated 7,000 professional visitors and 250 exhibitors are expected to participate. In preparation, delegates and construction industry professionals from the UAE will participate at Intermat Paris on 18 April 18.

This day will be dedicated to discuss the numerous opportunities in the region, with more than 200,000 international visitors and journalists attending.
