Recently, JCB Vibromax launched new double-drum ride-on rollers VMT380 and VMT430, with drum widths of either 1,300mm or 1,400mm: VMT380-130, VMT380-140, VMT430-130 and VMT430-140. The new products replaced previous VMT390 and VMT500 in the JCB compaction line-up.
For improved visibility and weight distribution rollers are equipped with front-mounted engine with tapered frame. The drive system has been improved to delivers an extra 20% in vibration frequency, to 66Hz, for rolling speeds that are now up to 10% higher than the competition. Gradeability has been improved by 42%. Machines use a mechanical gear shift resulting in smoother starting and braking.
Turning radius is 2,380mm for the 1,300mm drum machines and 2,430mm for the 1,400mm-width models. Operators can now choose between single-front, single-rear or twin drum vibration, for more control on smooth finish asphalt layers.
