As the company’s largest loader, 457 has an a 250-horsepower Tier 4-Interim diesel which delivers 800 lb.-ft. of torque. Intelligent Clutch Cut-Off system allows the engine to provide maximum power to hydraulics, when the operator presses the brake pedal. It also reduces power to the driveline for greater control at lower travel speeds. Open differential axle with optional automatic differential locking provides additional tractive effort without operator input, reducing wheelspin, tire wear, and fuel consumption, JCB says.
