M1905.com, the website subsidiary of television station CCTV-6, has teamed up with the New York Film Academy to offer a training course for film students, focusing on the production of HD movies in Beijing, M1905.com reports.

The two organizations held an event on March 17 to promote the course. Michael Onge, a professor at New York Film Academy, and other officials from M1905.com were on hand to answer questions from students.

The first part of the course will be held in April and last for four weeks, while second one will start on July 15. During the sessions, students will learn and practice filmmaking for 16 hours a day, seven days a week, Onge said.

"Students will be randomly divided into several groups and make productions together," Onge said. "In this way, they will experience all stages of moviemaking, including directing, photographing and editing."

Li Yi, General Manager of M1905.com's marketing operations, said the program marked the first time for the New York Film Academy to teach on the mainland.

M1905.com runs a Micro Film Studio now. Outstanding students may join the studio directly after the course and their productions can sign up for famous film festivals.
