CHINA Oilfield Services Ltd, a unit of the nation's third-largest oil producer, said it would form a joint venture with Norway's Atlantis Deepwater Technology Holding AS to develop new drilling technology.　

China Oilfield and Atlantis will each take a 50 percent stake in Atlantis Deepwater Orient Ltd, Beijing-based China Oilfield said in a statement on its Website yesterday. The two companies will explore the so-called "Atlantis" drilling technique, it said.
