Dynasty issues sour forecast

   Date:2007/03/16

DYNASTY Fine Wines Group Ltd, the Chinese partner of Remy Cointreau SA, said rising distribution costs amid market competition may hurt the company's 2006 profit.

Cost of distribution as a percentage of sales will be higher in the second half of 2006 than in the first half. Dynasty joins Yantai Changyu Pioneer Wine Co and China Great Wall Wine Co in controlling about half the nation's wine market.

Dynasty's first-half profit slumped 30 percent to HK$82.3 million (US$10.6 million) from a year earlier.
