From October 1st, all drugs' outer packaging must accord with the relevant rule, or else the drugs can't be sold in Chinese market. Generic name of one certain drug must be remarkably signed on the outer packaging. The area of single word in the brand name can't exceed a half of the area of single word in generic name.
Along with the change of outer packaging, Generic name are more obvious, while the brand name is weakened. Now in the drugstores people can see many drugs' outer packaging have changed to new packaging.
The implement of the rule will change the situation that a drug (inlcuding same ingredient) owns many brand names which confuse the people.
