GD Power Development Co, a unit of one of China's five largest electricity producers, increased output in the first nine months of this year by 13 percent to meet rising domestic demand.
The utility generated 53 million megawatt-hours of electricity from January to September, GD Power said in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange yesterday.
