Import tariffs for rice will remain in place next year, FLEXNEWS has learnt from the Chinese Government.
The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said it has allocated an import tariff quota of 5.32 million tonnes for rice.
Some 50 pct of rice quotas would be awarded to state-owned companies, the planning agency said.
The NDRC said it would announce quota allocation by the end of this year.
