Commerce Ministry permited Bayer's acquisition for BaiJiaHei

Recently Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China approved the acquisition that Bayer healthcare (Germany) acquire Topsun Group's several brands such as "BaiJiaHei".

On October 25th, 2006 Bayer and Topsun had signed an agreement that Bayer spent 1,072 million Yuan to acquire Topsun's OTC business of cough and cold drugs and relevant asset, namely the revelant departments of "BaiJiaHei", "XiaoBai" and "XinLi". But the acquisition must be approved by Ministry of Commerce. It took one year to get the approval.

Bayer said the acquisition would enforce Bayer's OTC business in China. Now Bayer is engaging in relevant process so that the merge can be finished eventualy.
