Wyeth Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. announced it would spend 5.85 million dollars investment on the restruction of Wyeth (SuZhou) Pharmaceutical factory. The investment should be used to enlarge the product capacity of OTC drugs for satisfying the rapid growth of domestic and overseas needs.
Wyeth have founded 3 enterprises in Chinese mainland, and SuZhou Pharmaceutical factory was founded at WuZhong district of Suzhou in 1991 to produce prescription drugs, OTC drugs and noruishments.
The new investment should mostly be used to enlarge the product capacity of Centrum (Multivitamin with Multimineral Tablets) and Caltrate (Compound Calcium Carbonate). Now Centrum and Caltrate always keep in the procession of top 3 best-selling in the in the same kind of products in Suzhou. Afer the expansion project have finished, it is expected the production capacity of SuZhou Pharmaceutical factory should reach 3.2 billion tablets per year from now 1.6 billion tablets per year.
