Recently Zhejiang Medicine Co., Ltd. announced to increase the price of biotin for conquering the operation pressure and resisting market risk. In the first half of 2007, the sales of biotin possesses 8% in total revenue of Zhejiang Medicine. Zhejiang Medicine annoutced that the price of biotin (drug grade ) increases to 1000 US$/kg, the price of biotin (2%, feed grade) increases to 200 Yuan/kg, and new order form will be carried out by the new prices. The company also said the order forms have been scheduled in the second half year, so the fourth quarter performance won't benefit.
Biotin is a kind of vitamin with a small output, over 90% ouput in the world taken up by three big Chinese makers.
