Property prices in 70 major Chinese cities rose 9.5 pct year-on-year in October, up 0.6 percentage point from September levels, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said.
In a statement published on its website, the state planning agency said prices of new residential properties rose 10.6 pct year-on-year in October, with the growth rate up 0.6 percentage point from a month earlier.
Shenzhen, Beijing and Ningbo were among five cities recording property price growth exceeding 10 pct year-on-year, at 16.5 pct, 15.3 pct and 15.6 pct respectively, the NDRC said.
Prices of existing homes rose 8.7 pct year-on-year, 1.1 percentage points higher than the rate recorded in September, the NDRC said.
Non-residential property prices grew 6.7 pct, down 0.3 percentage point from the September rate, it added.
