Chinese online game company NetDragon (8288.HK) reported earnings for the three month period ending September 30 on Wednesday. Revenue for the three month period grew from 30.6 million in the year-ago period to 191.6 million Yuan. NetDragon recorded profit of 112 million Yuan, up from 12 million Yuan last year. NetDragon has recorded peak concurrent users (PCU) of approximately 527,000, 92,000 and 88,000 and for its in-house developed MMORPGs Realm of Chaos (a.k.a. Eudemons Online), Conquer Online and Zero Online, respectively. The company is conducting closed beta testing for 2.5D MMORPGs Happiness Q, Piao Miao Online, and Heroes of Might and Magic Online. Happiness Q is scheduled for release at the end of 2007 while the other two games will be launched in the first half of 2008. The English version of Zero Online is also in closed beta and scheduled for a 2007 release. NetDragon generated approximately HK$1.4 billion through its November 2 listing on the Hong Kong GEM. The company has approximately 600 employees including a 360-staff development team.
