Recently Sandoz Pharmaceuticals AG, a branch of Novartis AG, had finsihed the purchase for a finished drugs factory located at Guandong province Zhongshan city Torch High-tech Industrial Development Zone. So Guangdong Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Ltd. was formally founded.
The Chinese factory was founded in 2001, and passed Chinese GMP authentication in 2002, passed Australian TGA authentication in 2005. The purchase for the factory is a part of Novartis's Asia development plan and is helpful to strengthen Novartis's production capacity in China and decrease production cost.
