In November 2007, the export amount of Penicillin G potassium crude was 415 tons, the lowest monthly amount in recent 3 years. Meanwhile the price dropped further to 14 $/BOU from 17.5 $/BOU of last month.
Penicillin G will face dilemma in 2008. On the hand, the cost of production and operation has incerased and it's necessary to increase the price. On the other hand, after suffering the pressure coming from the price increase of Penicillin G, the international purchasers won't easily say "Yes" to the price increase.
