Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Company Limited is principally engaged in the production and distribution of Chinese patent medicines, research and development of natural medicines and biological drugs, as well as wholesaling and retailing of western drugs, Chinese medicines and medical equipment. The Company's major products include remedies for heat clearing and anti-toxic, diabetes drugs, medicines for cough and phlegm clearing, medicines for arthritis, medicines for gastric diseases and other products. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had 52 chain pharmacies, including 51 chain stores for traditional Chinese medicine retailing, and one integrated pharmacy. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had 11 subsidiaries, one branch and three affiliates, which involved in the production and distribution of pharmaceuticals, food and medical equipment.
