The Company has five segments: Product, Zhongpan, Subscription, Retailing and Others. Product includes editorial and publishing of publications. Zhongpan includes bulk purchase of publications from publishers and Product segment. Subscription includes distribution of textbooks and supplementary materials to schools and students. Retailing includes retailing of books and audio-visual products. During the year ended December 31, 2010, the Company completed the acquisition of interests in 15 publication entities (the Fifteen Publishers) under Sichuan Publishing Group Co., Ltd.
