New Oriental Education & Technology Group Inc. is a provider of private educational services in China based on the number of program offerings, total student enrollments and geographic presence. It offers a range of educational programs, services and products consisting primarily of English and other foreign language training, test preparation courses for admissions and assessment tests in the United States, the People鈥檚 Republic of China and Commonwealth countries, primary and secondary school education, development and distribution of educational content, software and other technology, and online education. It provides educational services under its New Oriental brand. In the fiscal year ended May 31, 2010 (fiscal 2010), the Company had approximately 1,807,000 student enrollments, including approximately 1,038,000 student enrollments in its language training programs and approximately 769,000 student enrollments in its test preparation courses.

New Oriental Education & Technology Group was born out of Beijing New Oriental School, which was established November 16, 1993. At present, the group focuses on foreign language training and elementary education, with an array of training and educational programs. It is a large-scale comprehensive education and technology group combining education and training, education R&D, book, audio and video publishing, overseas education services, vocational education, online education, and the research and development of educational software.
